Pastor
Roderick Anderson
Anderson's journey began at Troy State University, now known as Troy University, where he graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1983. In 1984, he married Linda, and together they have two children, Timothy and Tiara. It was three years prior to his graduation that he received the Holy Ghost at the United Pentecostal Church in Troy, Alabama. This experience would eventually set him on path toward ministry.
Anderson's career in law enforcement spanned over 29 years, during which he achieved several 'firsts' for a Black man in the City of Troy. He started as a jailer at the Troy Police Department and quickly worked his way up the ranks to become the first Black Lieutenant in the department's history. He also became the first Black Chief of Police at Troy University, where he worked for over 16 years.
By 1995, the Anderson Family established Bible Fellowship Apostolic Church (BFAC) in Montgomery, Alabama, with Anderson himself accepting the call to serve as pastor. At BFAC, Anderson has had the opportunity to mentor many young men and preach and teach the word of God for three decades. He is passionate about serving the people of God and has been serving his fifth term as the Presbyter of Section Six of the Alabama District of the United Pentecostal Church International.
